YSRC MLA denies plans to join Telugu Desam

Anantapur: Who next? Rumours this time is that Uravakonda  MLA Y Visweswar Reddy is all set to  defect to the Telugu Desam. A strong leader in Anantapur district, he had been elected as YSR Congress MLA from Uravakonda, against the claims of his faction rival Payyavula Kesav in the  2014 assembly polls.

He played a lead role in student movement as a leftist. The Telugu Desam high command has offered an MLC seat for Payyavula Kesav. As Kadiri MLA Attar Chand Bhasha  defected to TD a week ago, the only legislator for the YSRC party is Visweswar Reddy, and he is being wooed by a few sections including some TD leaders who had differences with  Kesav.

Visweswar Reddy lambasted TD leaders for playing a mind game. “I am not such a  person with unhealthy political ethics. Nobody can purchase me,” he said.
