Vishakapatnam: Ruling YSRC MLC Varudu Kalyani on Sunday blamed TD national president N. Chandrababu Naidu for all ills that are plaguing Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam, she underlined that the former CM failed to get special category status for the state. He ran away from Hyderabad even though AP Reorganisation Act allowed Andhra Pradesh government to run its administration with Hyderabad as its capital for 10 years.

Kalyani said now that people of the state are praising Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his welfare schemes and overall development, Chandrababu Naidu is criticising the CM out of jealousy with help from his media friends.

She pointed out that Naidu had made several promises in his party manifesto before the 2019 elections. But after he lost, he removed the manifesto from the party’s website.

The MLC ridiculed the TD chief for taking selfies in front of Tidco houses. She pointed out to him that he is taking pictures of houses that had been completed by Jagan Mohan Reddy after becoming the CM. Naidu could not complete construction of even 50 percent Tidco houses after promising to ground 5.13 lakh houses during his regime.

She pointed out that after coming to power, Jagan Mohan Reddy has completed 50,000 houses and is planned to distribute 40,000 houses in another two months.

“Our government is planning to give 1.30 lakh houses to eligible persons in the state,” Kalyani declared.

In addition, she said the state government has given 30 lakh house pattas. 21.25 lakh houses are under construction. In all, 17,000 housing colonies are being developed. Some of these will be separate townships with all the basic facilities, the MLC underlined.

Visakhapatnam is witnessing YSRC leaders and workers going from door to door. They are explaining to people what the government has done for them so far and welfare schemes it has implemented for the people.
