Karimnagar: If the NH four-way lane from Warangal to Jagityal via Karimnagar is diverted through Velichala and Chintakunta villages and is linked to Alagunoor road, it would be helpful for the people of Choppadandi who have already lost their fields to various projects, said Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy on Saturday.

He interacted with people of Kothapalli Haveli village who lost their fields for the project to extend the national highway.

Jeevan Reddy said that land was being acquired on the side where people are living while not touching the other side as they have been told by officials of Mission Bhagiratha project that they were laying pipe lines.

He urged officials to extend the road equally on either side by laying the Mission bhagiratha pipelines from outside of the village.

He appealed to BJP state chief and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar to take up the initiative and talk to the local minister.

City Congress president Komatireddy Narendar Reddy and party leader Ponnam Satyam were present on the occasion.
