Hyderabad: Campaigning on the last day in Nalgonda, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, “Narendra Modi would have to step down after the Lok Sabha polls, TS chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will play an important role at the Centre.”

Addressing the rally as a star campaigner for TRS candidate Vemi Reddy Narasimha Reddy, the pink party’s working president said, “Telangana state was achieved with two MPs. More can be done if the number of TRS MPs win. If the party secures 16 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, Mr Rao will play a significant role at the Centre.”

“Mr Modi’s metre is dwindling. He will have to give up the Prime Minister gaddi to give way for the Federal Front,” he added.

Refuting the allegation made by the national parties, that the TRS was the B-team of either the Congress or the BJP, Mr Rama Rao asserted that the TRS was the A-team of the people.
