Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and apparently intimated him on the upcoming changes of portfolios among his Cabinet ministers.

It was earlier reported that the CM intended to reshuffle the portfolios of ministers including divesting the portfolios of Cooperation and Information departments held by him.

It is reliably learnt that Mr Rao, other than reshuffling the portfolios, may also affect a minor change in his Cabinet by dropping a minister and inducting a woman.

The 22-month-old TRS ministry does not have a woman in it’s 18-member Cabinet. The outer limit of the Cabinet strength cannot exceed 18, so unless a minister is dropped, it is not possible to induct a woman.
