Two JNTUK students get Rs 35 lakh package offer in campus placements

Kakinda: Two students, Manyam Sridevi of Computer Science Engineering and Bodapati Nivas of Electronics and Communication Engineering, studying in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK)- have got placements with a package of Rs.35 lakhs each in a multinational company Camwalt. Another two students, Marni Yaswanth (CSE) and Alladi Sandhya (CSE), got placed with a package of Rs.16.30 lakh per annum in Darwinbox’.

According to university officials, it was the first time that JNTUK students were selected with a huge package of money.

University College of Engineering, Kakinada, principal M.H.M. Krishna Prasad said the students of the college are being given placement and skill development training in all branches.

UCEK Training and Placement Officer Dr Arava Karuna said the systems of campus recruitment have been totally changed and the students should upgrade their skills in coding, emerging technologies, soft skills, communication skills and other development activities.

Manyam Sridevi, who got a placement in Camwalt, belongs to Samalkot village and her father is a farmer, and Bodapati Srinivas belongs to Ongole and his father Amrutha Rao is a businessman.

Marni Yaswanth belongs to Pedapudi village and his father Marni Krishna and Alladi Sandhya’s father Alladi Dasu of Ongole are also the farmers. JNTUK Vice Chancellor G.V.R.Prasada Raju greeted the students and the faculty members in particular principal Krishna Prasad and placement officer A. Karuna for the achievement.
