Jagan Inaugurates Projects, Launches New Ones in Kadapa

Kadapa: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took part in several programmes in Kadapa district on Thursday. These included the inauguration of some multi-crore projects and launch of some other big-ticket projects.

The Chief Minister also participated in the wedding ceremony of the son of legislative council deputy chairman Zakia Khanam in Rayachoti.

Arriving at Kadapa airport by a special flight from Gannavaram, he was warmly welcomed by deputy chief minister Amzath Basha, district in-charge minister Adimulapu Suresh, district collector Vijay Ramaraju, DIG Senthil Kumar, SP Siddharth Kaushal, Ganesh Kumar and others.

The Chief Minister unveiled the Agriculture and Horticulture Colleges established at the Centre for Advanced Research on Livestock (APCARL) at a cost of Rs 9.96 crore by the Pulivendula areas development authority.

At APCARL, Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the state-of-the-art Central Testing Laboratory, erected at a cost of Rs 11 crore. He initiated a face-lifting project at Shilaparam, a development project covering 38 acres and requiring an investment of Rs 14.04 crore.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Sri Swamy Narayana Gurukula School, costing Rs 60 crore. This school will be built on 12 acres opposite APCARL, with an initial expenditure of  Rs 25 crore and Rs 35 crore in the second phase.

He also took a tour of the Aditya Birla Garments. Later, he went to Idupulapaya and received petitions from the locals. Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy, legislators, MLCs and others accompanied the Chief Minister on his visits.
