VIJAYAWADA: The war of words between BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao and Telugu Desam MLC has turned serious as the duo lodged complaints against each other. Mr Narasimha Rao lodged a complaint with Union home minister Rajnath Singh against Venkanna about defaming him with objectionable statements.

In turn, Venkanna lodged a complaint with AP DGP R.P. Thakur objecting the comments of Narasimha Rao against the TD on social media Twitter. He demanded an apology from Narasimha Rao and warned that he will file a defamation case against the BJP MP if he fails to express an apology.

Venkanna said that AP people are up in arms against the BJP but still, the party leaders are trying to deceive the public with false statements which is severely objectionable.

He claimed that Narasimha Rao has been continuously defaming the TD and posting objectionable comments on Twitter against him.

He challenged Narasimha Rao to prove the allegations of corruption and illegalities against him and announced that he is ready for a public debate with Rao on the allegations. He stated that Narasimha Rao should express apology publicly to him if he fails to prove the allegations and warned that he will file a defamation case against the BJP MP if he fails to do so. Venkanna said that DGP Thakur responded positively to his complaint and would refer the case to Vijayawada Police Commissioner.
