Priyanka Gandhi to address convention on Jan 16

Bengaluru: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of former president of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Sonia Gandhi will be addressing a convention at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru on January 16, said president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) D.K. Shivakumar in Bengaluru on Monday.

Shivakumar said that Priyanka Gandhi will make an important announcement with regard to women uplift at the convention and stated that Congress party intends to come out with a separate manifesto for women in Karnataka to address various issues of women. 

Preparation of the manifesto for the forthcoming Assembly election is underway under Dr G. Parameshwar, he said.
