HYDERABAD: Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his remarks that the state government is not cooperating with the Centre in terms of development works, BRS ministers and senior leaders expressed their anger at Modi for his baseless accusations during the public meeting here on Saturday.

Finance minister T. Harish Rao said that Modi came to Hyderabad to spew venom at Telangana. On the pretext of inaugurating development works, Modi derides Telangana people and BRS party to divert the people's attention.

"After Telangana was formed, BRS introduced Asara Pension and Rythu Bandhu schemes by depositing the amount into the accounts of every beneficiary. To divert the people's attention from Adani and Ambani issues, Modi claimed that they are implementing schemes in the name of PM Kisan, which is based on Telangana's Rythu Bandhu," Rao said.

The Prime Minister deliberately neglected Telangana and its developments, he said.

Another minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged that the Prime Minister tried to damage the BRS government by making false statements. The Telangana government has provided jobs to 1.38 unemployed youth by releasing different notifications. Narendra Modi must tell the state where round-the-clock power supply is being provided when the fact is that only Telangana government is extending the 24-hour power supply to people.

Energy minister G. Jagadish Reddy said that the Prime Minister used ED, Income Tax, and CBI wings to suppress voices of opposition parties. The Chief Minister is fighting against Modi and his government’s anti-people's policies, he said.

Vice-chairman of the state planning commission G. Vinod condemned the Prime Minister's remarks against the BRS government. The Prime Minister must be held responsible for not providing national status to Kaleshwaram project. The state government has written to the Centre seeking funds and development works in Telangana. They have not responded to even a single letter, he said.
