Bandi makes KTR an offer, 'accept or prove yourself a Telangana 'drohi'
HYDERABAD: “Come to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting at Parade Ground. Take part in the event celebrating Telangana’s development. I will ensure that Modi will honour you with a gajamala (giant garland of flowers).”
This was Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s response to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s decision to stay away from Modi’s event in the city on Saturday.
“Let KCR prove he wants to be a partner in Telangana’s development. If he does not come, then he will be considered a betrayer of Telangana,” Sanjay said.
Sanjay’s comment was sparked by the Chief Minister’s decision not to attend the event and the BRS working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao’s call to the party leaders and cadre to stage protests against the Centre on Saturday over an alleged proposal to privatise Singareni Collieries.
Sanjay, speaking with reporters in Karimnagar asked : “Is KCR for Telangana and its development, because that is what the Prime Minister is coming for. He can attend the Prime Minister’s event and give a representation to Modi.”
