Complete houses for poor before Ugadi, says official

KAKINADA: Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation (APSHC) managing director Lakshmisha on Tuesday instructed district officials to complete the construction of houses under the Navaratnalu – Pedalandiriki Illu scheme on a war-foot before Ugadi.

Inspecting constructions going on at the housing layout in Velugubanda village for beneficiaries from Rajamahendravaram city in East Godavari district, he announced that 14,395 out of 18,126 houses in the district have been completed. The remaining houses will be completed in a speedy manner.

APSHC MD exhorted housing corporation officials to create awareness among beneficiaries about quickly constructing their houses. He called upon beneficiaries to start construction of their houses at the earliest so that they can avoid additional financial burdens.

Lakshmisha visited the house of Satti Venkata Subbalakshmi, who completed her house in the colony. Subbalakshmi and her family members thanked the officer for clearing bills following the construction of their house.

Rajamahendravaram municipal commissioner Dinesh Kumar and district housing chief G. Parasuram were present.
