Hyderabad all set to pick its leaders

A senior GHMC official said District Election Officer M Dana Kishore has already issued show cause notices to the absentees before initiating disciplinary actions.

Hyderabad: The distribution of voter slips to 4056,524 voters of Hyderabad district is completed, said Hyderabad DEO Dana Kishore on Thursday. He also said that, with 3873 polling centers and 25000 officials, elaborate arrangements have been made in the city. CCTV cameras are set up outside critical polling locations and web casting management is facilitated in all polling stations.

Measures are being taken to ensure that Roh-ingyas do not vote in Malakpet, Karwan, Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura, Bahadurpura, Nampally Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad.

The GHMC set up a separate control rooms at for monitoring the voting process through CCTV cameras and web casting. Voters can easily identify their polling stations using MyGHMC app, Vaada app and Naa Vote app. He said strict measures have been taken to ensure the implementation of Code of Conduct. 

Ramps, toilets and drinking water facilities have been setup at all polling stations. Special arrangements were made also for 18,042 disabled voters in Hyderabad. Free transportation with 125 vehicles is being provided exclusively for the disabled persons with a special volunteer for each vehicle.
