Controversial businessman Chikoti Praveen joins BJP amidst ongoing legal troubles
Hyderabad: Businessman Chikoti Praveen, who is facing several cases including an Enforcement Directorate probe for earning illegal profits by running a casino, joined the BJP in the presence of party vice-president D.K. Aruna on Saturday.
Earlier, Praveen had reached the BJP office at the head of a rally but the event was postponed for unexplained reasons. The event finally took place on Sunday. Praveen said he would work for the BJP and strengthen the party.
Aruna said that Minister K.T. Rama Rao had said that his father and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's health was not good. “KTR should not neglect his father's health to become Chief Minister,” she alleged.
