ADILABAD: Republican Party of India president Prakash Ambedkar on Tuesday offered his party’s support to secular political parties that form a front to fight against the BJP for protecting the Indian Constitution.

He went on to praise Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for implementing various welfare schemes like Dalit Bandhu and installing a gigantic statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Hyderabad.

Prakash Ambedkar insisted on unity among SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities for defeating the BJP in the next elections. He accused the saffron party of trying to change the Indian Constitution and suppress the voices of those against the BJP.

Addressing a meeting, the RPI president charged BJP with giving political parties the option of freedom or jail in case they want to join hands against the saffron party.

He, however, clarified that they do not have enough faith in Congress as far as working with it is concerned.

Prakash Ambedkar underlined that some political parties may not join any front for fear of facing IT, ED and CBI raids and their key leaders being sent to jail.

Speaking on the occasion, Thudum Debba district president Godam Ganesh said the TRS government is suppressing Adivasis who are fighting for their rights, especially pattas for podu lands.

Surprisingly, several senior BRS leaders, including Younus Akbani, could be seen sharing dais with Prakash Ambedkar at the meeting.
