Anandaiah's herbal Covid mix gets embroiled in TD-YSRC politics

NELLORE: Even as people are eagerly waiting for the herbal Coronavirus concoction of Anandaiah, Telugu Desam Party has kicked up a storm alleging that ruling YSR Congress leaders are promoting a website for supplying the medicine online to mint money in the process.

TD politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has specifically alleged that Sarvepalli MLA K. Govardhan Reddy has readied a website www.chilldeal.in to sell Anandaiah herbal mix online and amass wealth.

Addressing media on Saturday at the Telugu Desam office here along with party leaders, Chandramohan Reddy explained that the website had been purchased from Godaddy.com by Nellore-based software firm Sesritha Technology India Pvt. Ltd., whose owners are close associates of Govardhan Reddy.
He said the company had purchased the website on May 21 and started online sale of Anandaiah’s concoction from May 31.

The website has been visible since 11 am on June 2 and the home page has the ruling party’s emblem, along with photographs of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, ministers Mekapati Goutha Reddy and Alla Nani, legislator Kakani, apart from Anandaiah.

The TD politburo member charged that Kakani and others have premeditated to cash in on the situation. They have mentioned the price of P, L, and F variety as Rs 15, but actually, they are collecting Rs 167 for each packet.

He disclosed that because of this, an internal dispute has started between Anandaiah’s family and the legislator’s group saying the website is unauthorised. These differences have led to Kakani announcing that neither the ruling party nor the government has anything to do with the herbal medicine, Chandramohan Reddy alleged.

The TD leader demanded that the state government book a suo motu case for preventing this kind of irregularities. Otherwise, he said, they would approach cybercrime wing for taking action on the issue.
