Mysuru: State BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa on Tuesday advised Chief Minister H.D.  Kumaraswamy to stop “humiliating the people of the state” by saying that he was the lucky CM and not the choice of six crore people.

Addressing  BJP workers at a thanksgiving convention here, the BJP leader  twice referred to Mr Kumaraswamy as Siddaramaiah saying, “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah (HDK) has humiliated people by saying that he is under the mercy of the Congress. Mr Siddaramaiah (HDK) has also cheated people by not keeping his promise to waive off farm loans within 24 hours of being sworn in as CM. Had we not called for a bandh, he would not have held a meeting with farmers’ leaders.”

Mr Yeddyurappa maintained the coalition government had created confusion in the minds of people and it was only right to dissolve the assembly and hold fresh elections. “Let’s go to people again and you will know who will get the highest number of seats,” he asserted.
