Mysuru: Strongly objecting to  Chief Minister Siddaramaiah taking personal potshots at him and calling him stern and unsmiling, state BJP chief, S S Yeddyurappa hit back on Wednesday saying,  “Mr Siddaramaiah has gone mad and is speaking nonsense. It is his face that has become dull with disappointment at the poor response to the road shows he is holding under the hot sun. Who is dull will be proved on the 13th of this month.”

Mr Yeddyurappa, who was addressing a public meeting in Ashokpuram in Nanjangud as a part of his campaign for the bypoll, once again charged that  the state government was trying to influence voters with money power. “But the local people are not responding to it despite this. We don’t need to wait for the April 13  results as the response at  the convention in Nanjangud Wednesday evening will be enough indication,” he said.

BJP leader, B Sriramulu declared that Mr  Siddaramaiah, would be the last Chief Minister of the Congress in the state. “Congress leaders are sitting in hotels and distributing money instead of participating in public meetings believing  they can win elections with their  money power,” he charged.

Senior BJP leader, K S Eshwarappa said the entire world had accepted Prime Minister Modi except Mr Siddaramaiah and Pakistan. “It is only Mr Modi who can keep terrorism at bay. The day is not far when  Siddaramaiah too will accept him,” he added.
