Tirupati: YSR Congress party’s regional coordinator for Tirupati district, Balineni Srinivasulu Reddy, stated categorically on Thursday that the party will take disciplinary action against anyone who works against its policies.

He said this in response to the party's recent decision to replace MLA Anam Ramnarayana Reddy with Nedurumalli Ramkumar Reddy as party coordinator for Venkatagiri constituency.

Balineni was speaking to the media after the Tirupati regional coordination committee meeting of the party here. He said the party aimed at a clean sweep in the 2024 assembly elections without losing a single seat. “On the directives of CM Jagan Reddy, we are determined to strengthen the party,” he said.

He said that in order to help the MLAs, the party has assigned observers to each constituency and “they will notify party leaders of any organisational flaws in the party and we will swiftly remedy them.”

The party would hold meetings with key leaders in Satyavedu constituency on Friday, Gudur on Saturday and Sullurpet on Sunday.

Tirupati district YSRC president Ramkumar Reddy said he would ensure that the party's candidates would win all seven seats in the next elections. The Venkatagiri voters are in favour of YSRC, he said.

MLA Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, who was dismissed as Venkatagiri constituency coordinator, did not attend the Tirupati district coordination meeting. He continued to participate in government programmes in the constituency. He distributed social security pensions in Venkatagiri and Dakkili Mandal Parishad offices on Thursday.
