Warangal: The BRS government has been playing with the lives of the unemployed youths for the past over 9 years, without doing recruitments for the vacant government posts and not giving the unemployment dole that it had promised, alleged the Congress party candidate, Singarapu Indira on Sunday.

Earlier in the morning, she received the b-form from the AICC secretary Rohit Chowdary at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. She expressed thanks to the AICC and also to TPCC president A Revanth Reddy.

Addressing the media in the Station Ghanpur constituency of Jangaon district, Indira said the BRS went back on its promise of transforming the state into Bangaru Telangana. The BRS government drove the state from a surplus-budget state into a debt-ridden entity and betrayed every section of the people, she alleged.

“The BRS government failed to provide employment opportunities to the people. It opened liquor shops across the state and transformed Telangana into a state of drunkards. Many families are facing hardships due to this,” she alleged.

She also alleged that MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah and MLC Kadiyam Srihari never bothered about the constituency's development. They fought for power by ignoring public issues and indulged in corruption, she said.

She said the Congress party would change the scenario in Telangana. After forming the government, we will not only implement the six guarantees but also the seventh guarantee of sanctioning not only Rs 1 lakh to every needy girl for her marriage but also one tola of gold as a marriage gift. We will do recruitment for all the vacant posts,” she said.
