Hyderabad: As per the call given by Dr G. Sanjeev Reddy, chairman, Central Trade Unions Coordination Committee and Samyukth Kisan Morcha, the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) extended solidarity with farmers unions and trade unions, who observed a 'black day' on Tuesday, seeking justice for farmers, who were mowed down by an SUV while protesting against the Centre's controversial agricultural laws and labour law reforms in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.

INTUC expressed its unwavering support and solidarity with Indian farmers and trade unions as they commemorate the second anniversary of the tragic incident in which four farmers lost their lives. In a media statement, R.D. Chandra Shekar, general secretary of the AP, TS branch of INTUC, called upon the Centre to reconsider its stance on these contentious reforms and engage in meaningful dialogue with farmers and trade unions to pave the way for a sustainable and equitable agriculture sector and labour market.

He said that INTUC remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting the rights and interests of the country’s working class.
