K Jana Reddy seeks action against Karthi Mahesh

Hyderabad: Congress Legislative Party leader K. Jana Reddy on Wednesday sou-ght stringent action aga-inst film critic Kathi Mahesh for making derogatory remarks on Lord Rama and Ramayana.

Mr Reddy said such comments will hurt the sentiments of people and incite violence. “The government should take immediate action against destructive forces like Kathi Mahesh. Any tolerance would only provoke sentiments and lead to clashes in society. No party or religion should encourage such persons,” he said.

He urged the media not to give prominence for persons like Kathi Mahesh and censor  such unsavoury remarks made against any religion or God.
