HYDERABAD: BJP MLA Etala Rajendar called upon the people to start another movement for democratic rule and liberty, stating that real reason for securing Telangana statehood would be fulfilled when the BRS government is ousted from power.

He was speaking at an Alay Balay programme at Bhongir on Sunday, along with former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, former zilla parishad chairperson Tula Uma, Jitta Balakrishna Reddy and Dr Nagesh.

Rajendar said that people had fought for self-respect in united Andhra Pradesh but under Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, self-respect and democratic values had perished.

“KCR directed collectors and BRS leaders to praise him during the Telangana state formation’s decennial celebrations,” he said. “All sections of people including poets, writers, artists are ready to teach a fitting lesson to the BRS.”

Rajendar criticised that Rao had taken a U-turn after he came to power and neglected the unemployed, students and women, He had adopted feudalist policies and, on the pretext of development, was trying to mislead the people.
