HYDERABAD: BJP legislator M. Raghunandan Rao slammed the BRS government over its failure to implement the promises made during the 2018 Assembly elections.

Rao said that BRS had promised a crop loan waiver of up to Rs 1 lakh, monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3,016 to unemployed youth and a sheep distribution scheme but did not honour any of them.

He pointed out at the discrimination being meted out by the state government in the allotment of money under the Special Development Fund to Assembly constituencies held by Opposition MLAs.

He stated that the information obtained by him under the Right to Information Act showed that out of 119 Assembly constituencies, Rs 890 crore was granted to Gajwel, represented by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and Rs 790 crore to Siddipet, held by finance minister T. Harish Rao.

"For my Dubbak constituency, no SDF funds were released after I got elected in November 2020," he alleged.
