Satyameva Jayate, Says Priyanka Gandhi on SC Stay

The Supreme Court on Friday stayed Rahul Gandhi's conviction in defamation case in Modu surname case. The verdict also restored the Senior leader's status as Lok Sabha MP.

It's a happy day...I will write and speak to Lok Sabha Speaker today itself," said Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
"Congratulations to the people of Wayanad upon having their representation in the Lok Sabha restored," tweeted National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor called the SC order the "first steps towards justice in an unjust case."
"We believe in the legal procedure and the system of the country and welcome the decision," says Congress leader K C Venugopal on Supreme Court staying the conviction of Rahul Gandhi in Modi surname remark case. "This is a victory of truth," said Congress leader Tariq Anwar.
Priyanka Gandhi said on Twitter, "Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth ~Gautama Buddha'." The Congress general secretary thanked the apex court for the decision and wrote "Satyameva Jayate".
Rahul Gandhi can now return to Parliament from Monday. However, the Lok Sabha secretariat has to issue a notice stating his suspension from the Lok Sabha has been removed following the Supreme court decision.
