HYDERABAD: All the promises made by the Congress in Karnataka were being implemented forthwith and the credit for it went to party leader Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, said senior party leader V. Hanumantha Rao.

Accusing the K. Chandrasekhar Rao government here of failing to keep its promises, he said, “I participated in a dharna by farmers in Khammam seeking MSP for chilli crop. Ten of them were handcuffed and produced in court. I will go to Bhuvanagiri again to get the farmers released. Despite talk of BC Bandhu on the lines of Dalit Bandhu it is not being implemented.”

Taking on the BJP government at the Centre for failing to provide two crore jobs, privatising public sector enterprises and failing to hold BC caste census, he said, “We will give unemployment doles, implement fee reimbursement to SC, ST and BC communities once we come to power. People should dump the BJP and BRS.”
