Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has said that his party along with BJP is committed to make Andhra Pradesh free from the YSR Congress rule.

The Jana Sena met BJP national president J.P. Nadda at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday. Later, he told the media that the two parties would make all efforts to ensure that the anti-YSRC vote is not split.

Pawan Kalyan said he held detailed discussion on the prevailing situation in AP. “There is lawlessness, quarrels among rival political activists and corruption,” he told the BJP chief.

He said, “The purpose of my visit to Delhi and meeting several top BJP leaders is to discuss how to get elected to power in AP in the coming polls. We need to strengthen our party further and so is the case with the BJP, which needs to be strong in terms of its organizational heft. We have not discussed political alliance with other parties as of now.”

Our strategy is how to assume power in AP in the elections.

The Jana Sena chief along with JS party’s political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar met the Union minister of state for external affairs and AP affair in-charge V. Muraleedharan and Union minister for Jal Sakthi Gajendra Shekawat with a request to give direction to the AP government to complete the Polavaram project expeditiously.
