Vijayawada: Former minister Perni Venkataramaiah on Friday stated that people of Andhra Pradesh do not anymore trust Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to media persons here, he underlined that Naidu has committed numerous follies and cheated people belonging to BC, ST, ST and minority communities.

Venkataramaiah refuted the former CM’s claim that AP is top within the list of states that have crossed their borrowing limits. He maintained that AP stands in eighth position and people are wise enough not to believe Naidu’s false propaganda.

The former minister made a mockery of TD chief’s claim that attempts have been made to eliminate him and that Lord Venkateswara has given him a new lease of life to serve AP people and fight against the ruling YSR Congress government.

He maintained that Naidu has already lost his credibility in the society owing to his own doings. He predicted that after 2024 polls, Naidu will be cooling his heels, repenting his sins, including backstabbing of late N.T. Rama Rao, for the rest of his life.

Referring to Naidu’s efforts to visit Polavaram irrigation project, Venkataramaiah said he has no locus standi to do so, as he failed to execute the project in a timely manner.
