It is padayatra time for BJP leaders in assembly constituencies

ADILABAD: BJP leaders are taking out padayatras in their assembly constituencies so as to move closer to the people and highlight the benefits of various central government schemes being implemented in the erstwhile Adilabad district.

BJP leaders say they aim to popularize 15 welfare schemes being implemented by the Modi government, The BJP Telangana in-charge Sunil Bansal has given a call to party leaders to undertake such a programme. The party's central leadership has also issued an advisory to this effect in view of the approaching elections.

Palvai Harishbabu and Mohanrao Patel would undertake padayatras in their Sirpur (T) and Mudhole assembly constituencies respectively.

Patel would start the yatra with the slogan of  ‘Palle Palleku BJP …Gadapa Gadapaku Mohan Rao’ from Suryapur village in Kuntala mandal on May 5.

The three–months-long padayatra will start from the Shiva temple in Suryapur village. Meetings would be organised in each mandal headquarter and the party flag will be hoisted after setting up of flag posts in all the 211 villages, seven mandals, and one municipality.

Pamphlets and door-posters on central government schemes and development works would be distributed to the people in the Mudhole assembly constituency.

Palvai Harish is launching his Pada yatra ‘ Pallepalleku Palvai… Intintiki BJP’ from Talai in Bejjur mandal from May 7. It would conclude in Ravindranagar of Chinthalamanepalli mandal.

Harish said they would invite BJP national secretary Pankaja Munde for the concluding event. “We would focus on the lack of government housing schemes for the poor as also irrigation facilities and the shifting of the Pranhtiha project to Kaleshwaram, non-issuing of pattas to the podu lands and lack of employment for the educated unemployed and other youths.
