KCR’s haste led to fire mishap in Secretariat: Bandi

HYDERABAD: BJP state president and Lok Sabha member Bandi Sanjay Kumar ridiculed Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s bid to inaugurate the new Secretariat complex on his birthday.

It was his haste for a February 17 inauguration that had led to fire mishap in the new building, he alleged.

All precautionary steps, particularly fire safety measures, should be in place before the inauguration, he said.

The BJP leader said that the new Secretariat building should be inaugurated on April14 marking the birth anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, in whose name the structure is coming up.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Kumar and Rajya Sabha member K. Laxman expressed grief over the death of K. Vishwanath and condoled the ace director’s bereaved family.
