Warangal: Finance Minister Harish Rao came heavily against BJP and Congress leaders speaking disrespectfully against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and said some of them are speaking utter lies.

The finance minister, accompanied by the welfare minister Koppula Eshwar and MLCs K Kavitha, L Ramana and Padi Koushik Reddy on Thursday inspected the arrangements for the chief minister’s December 7 visit to Jagtial district. KCR would inaugurate the new Collectorate complex building, lay the foundation for a medical college and address a public meeting.

“Why did the Congress government in power for many years not develop the region until the Telangana state was formed? Why had it not established medical colleges,” Harish Rao asked.

Rao said Union minister Kishan Reddy was speaking lies. “He said the central government had sanctioned 8.5 thousand crore to Telangana under GST. Actually, it gave us only Rs 8,000 crore. Rather, it was the state government that paid the Centre as high as Rs 30,000 crore under GST.”

The BJP government is driving the nation and its people into huge debts. Every month, it is borrowing lakhs of crores. In its eight years of Modi rule, debts of crores were incurred. As a result, on everyone in the country, there's a debt of Rs 1.24 lakh, he said.

Rao alleged that with suspension of several schemes along with the model schools, the BJP government caused a huge loss to Telangana.

He criticised BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar for making “baseless” comments against chief minister KCR. “Look at the BJP leader’s padayatra, there are fewer people to be seen at the corners of these meetings. But they are boasting that there is a large mass presence,” he said.

“The BJP is indulging in the politics of blackmail. politics. Before the elections in states, it will unleash the ED and IT department for raids. In Telangana, such arrows will not touch us. The entire society of Telangana is going to back the TRS party in future polls as well,” he said.
