Hyderabad: The state BJP has decided to organise counter events for each of the programmes scheduled by the BRS and the government as part of its 21-day Telangana state Formation Day festivities.

The plan is that for every event that the government holds to highlight its performance, the BJP will hold its own programme and protest and inform the people that these are in fact failures, state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Friday.

The BJP’s plans a ‘reverse run’ on June 12, when the government has planned a ‘Telangana Run’ in Assembly constituencies. “The BRS may claim that the state is running forward but everyone knows it is going backwards. To make our point clear on this, the BJP will hold counter-runs on June 12, with workers and leaders running backwards,” he said.

“Each day our party will highlight how the BRS government has failed the state and its people,” said Sanjay who chaired a meeting of party leaders at the BJP state headquarters. There will be press conferences to inform people about each sector’s failures, and other public events as part of the BJP plan, he said.
