Liars, criminals have no right to rule a kingdom, says Chandrababu Naidu

CM quotes Mahabharata, indirectly hinting at YSRC president Jagan.

Kadapa: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu assures the state government employees to do justice on contributary pension scheme (CPS) in the state. He was addressing a public meeting at Jammalamadugu on Monday evening. People, specially women, accorded a ceremonious welcome to Mr Naidu.

“I came to know about the problems with the new pension scheme and would soon write a letter to the Centre on implementing CPS,” he said, adding that he would meet the leaders of other states for a fight regarding the same.

Mr Naidu said that it was for the first time that he the guaranteed employees about the CPS.

Terming Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy a liar, Mr Naidu said that the YSRC was spreading lies about the Rayalaseema thermal power plant, that it would be shut down soon. “This plant was started by TD founder and former CM late N.T. Rama Rao to provide regular power supply to the Rayalaseema people. The state government will never close it,” he said.

The TD chief said that the accused in AgriGold scam had been arrested. “But, PM Modi is sending financial criminals abroad,” he pointed out. He quoted a phrase from the holy book Mahabharatam -- “Maata ichhi tappe variki, namminchi mosam chesevariki, abaddalu adevariki, Tappulu chesevariki, neragallaku, drohulaku, asuyaparulaku palinche hakku ledu” (Those who cannot keep their promises, those betraying people believing them, criminals, scoundrels and those who feel envy about others do not have the right to rule a kingdom), indirectly hinting at Jagan.

At a meeting in Pulivendula, he promised to increase the amounts being given under various schemes like Pasupu Kumkuma and pensions to different sections of the people. H promised to make Pulivendula a horticulture hub by providing more irrigation water to the farmers.

“For 40 years, you had voted to YSR’s family but Jagan did not supply water to you. I spent Rs 1,200 crore to provide water facility,” he said.
