MIM & BRS disturbing peaceful atmosphere in Telangana: Bandi
BRS and MIM leaders are drawing up conspiracies, provoking the youth in the name of religion and caste
KARIMNAGAR: BJP general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that the BRS and the AIMIM were trying to disturb the peace in the state, reacting to his office-cum-house being pelted with stones on Friday.
He alleged that MIM activists took out a rally past his house and tried to attack BJP leaders who were left off. The police booked cases against BJP leaders, he said.
“When the BRS and MIM leaders are drawing up conspiracies and provoking the youth in the name of religion and caste, the police are silent,” he said, in a video message while returning from New Delhi to Hyderabad. He demanded that the police withdraw cases filed against the BJP leaders and arrest the MIM activists.
Sanjay alleged that some police officials were acting like “agents of the BRS” and filing false cases against those who were questioning them. “These police officials are testing the patience of the BJP leaders. If they continue to act in favour of the MIM, BJP leaders will hoist the saffron flag on the Darussalam and in the Old City,” he said.
Reacting to a remark by MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi that they were the real patriots, Sanjay asked: “Which country are you patriots of? Pakistan or Afghanistan?” He said that if MIM leaders were patriots of India, they must go to the Bhagyalakshmi temple at Charminar, sing the National Anthem and Vande Mataram,” he said.
He asked how MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi could say that every ruling party in the state would have to listen to the MIM. “Is he thinking that the BJP is like the BRS and the Congress to obey their orders,” Sanjay asked.
“Even Muslim intellectuals are against the MIM. Muslim women are waiting for the opportunity to get rid of the MIM, which opposed the bill against triple talaq and the women's reservation bill. “If the BJP forms government in the Telangana state, the Old City will be transformed into a new city,” Sanjay said.
