Etala: CM should resign for TSPSC leakage

HYDERABAD: BJP MLA Etala Rajendar on Friday demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao resign from his post, taking responsibility for the leakage of question papers of the Telangana State Public Service Commission. “Thirty lakh unemployed youths are in distress due to the leakage of 12 question papers, but the CM has failed to take responsibility,” Rajendar said.

Bitterly criticising Rao after inaugurating the BJP office in Warangal, Rajendar said: “What culture does KCR want to show to the nation with the Telangana model?”

He said the liquor revenue of Uttar Pradesh state was Rs 30,000 crore with a 24 of crore, but in Telangana the BRS government was generating Rs 45,000 crore revenue through liquor sales from a population of 4 crore. “Telugu women are famous for fighting against liquor, but the CM’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha is involved in the liquor business,” he alleged.

Rajendar alleged that Chandrashekar Rao had grabbed the BRS, which was born for Telangana statehood movement. He predicted that the party would disappear from the political arena soon.

“The BJP made a chaiwala Prime Minister. Is it possible to make anyone other than a Kalvakuntla family member BRS president or Chief Minister, he questioned.

He said that Chandrashekar Rao and minister K.T. Rama Rao had dishonoured democracy by criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He recalled that Chandrashekar Rao had once prevented Opposition members from criticising Modi in the Assembly.

“KCR dismissed me from the Cabinet for allegations against me. Why is he not taking action against his daughter Kavitha, who is facing allegations in the Delhi liquor scam,” Rajendar asked.
