Vijayawada: Jana Sena political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar criticised YSR Congress government for taking into preventive custody several of JS party leaders on the eve of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Tenali in Guntur district.

Speaking to media persons at party headquarters in Hyderabad on Tuesday, the senior Jana Sena leader asked under which law is YSRC government arresting leaders of opposition parties during the visit of the Chief Minister.

He pointed out that arrests of leaders, not allowing people to move around, and closures of establishments are signs of a dictatorial rule.

Manohar took a dig at the CM for flying in a chopper from his residence at Tadepalli to Tenali, a distance of just 28 km. He asked why Jagan Mohan Reddy is wasting public money, as he could have easily travelled by road. He wondered whether the YSRC chief is unable to travel even short distances by road, as they are full of potholes.

Referring to the Chief Minister’s remarks that AP is witnessing a class war, the Jana Sena leader said rich are becoming richer while poor are getting mired in poverty. He suggested that the CM share 10 percent of his earnings with people of Andhra Pradesh.

Manohar criticised YSR Congress government for arranging 450 RTC and private school buses to forcibly mobilise people for attending Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public meeting.
