K Chandrasekhar Rao favours dispersed development to reflect Hyderabad’s image.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the municipal administration and IT departments to go for dispersed development rather than concentrating on one part of the city.
The government felt that developing one part of the city under the look east would lead to complications like heavy traffic snarls, lack of parking spaces, lung spaces and dense population with higher rate of pollution, as is being seen in the western parts of the city.
Highly placed sources in the IT department said that the CM has suggested chalking out plans to develop all four parts of the city by creating pharma and electronic cities, IT hubs and other lifestyle-related amenities to reflect the spirit of Hyderabad which is a mini-India.
Sources said that during the current year, the department would inaugurate the electronic and pharma cities to the east and south of the city and the T-Hub in the western part.
This was announced by MA&UD minister K.T. Rama Rao while he was speaking at the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) property show. The minister asked real estate developers to focus on facade development and lay emphasis on architecture which would enhance the beauty of the city. He assured them of supply of 41 per cent of recycled sewage water which would lower the price of construction.
