Odisha to Host All India PR Conference for First Time, AI, Ethics to be Focus
The conference will be held on the theme “NAVAGUNJARA – Public Relations in the Age of AI”, drawing inspiration from Odisha’s iconic Navagunjara motif, which symbolises the harmonious coming together of diverse forms into a unified whole.
Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to host the prestigious All India Public Relations Conference for the first time in its nearly five-decade history, with the 48th edition of the national event scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from December 25 to 27.
Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday unveiled the official poster and brochure of the 48th All India Public Relations Conference-2026 (AIPRC-2026) at a ceremony at Raj Bhavan here.
Organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) and hosted by its Bhubaneswar chapter, the three-day conference is expected to bring together communication professionals, corporate leaders, media practitioners, academicians, government representatives and policymakers from across the country.
The conference will be held on the theme “NAVAGUNJARA – Public Relations in the Age of AI”, drawing inspiration from Odisha’s iconic Navagunjara motif, which symbolises the harmonious coming together of diverse forms into a unified whole.
The theme seeks to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping public relations and corporate communication while underscoring the continuing importance of human intelligence, creativity, ethics, empathy and cultural understanding in building trust and credibility.
“It is a matter of immense pride that Odisha is hosting the All India Public Relations Conference for the very first time,” the Governor said, adding that the Navagunjara theme aptly combines Odisha’s cultural heritage with the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.
PRSI national president Dr Ajit Pathak said the conference would examine the opportunities created by AI while reaffirming the ethical, cultural and human values that remain central to effective public relations.
“Bhubaneswar, with its rich heritage and emerging profile as a centre of innovation, is an ideal setting for this important national dialogue,” Pathak said.
The conference will also showcase Odisha’s art, culture, traditions and hospitality, providing delegates an opportunity to combine professional learning and technological discussions with cultural experiences.
Among those present at the poster and brochure unveiling were PRSI secretary general Dr PLK Murthy, conference convenor Dr Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, co-convenor Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and chapter treasurer Ansuman Pattnayak.
