NTA Mock Drill Before NEET-UG Re-Test

Police and escort teams assigned to handle the secure transportation of confidential materials.

 New Delhi: The National Testing Agency will conduct a nationwide mock drill on Saturday ahead of the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for Sunday, as part of preparations to ensure secure and smooth conduct of the test.

In a statement issued on Friday, the agency said it is fully prepared for the re-examination, with district administrations, police and escort teams assigned to handle the secure transportation of confidential materials.

The NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination will be held from 2 pm to 5.15 pm in pen-and-paper mode across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for over 22.79 lakh candidates. Candidates with disabilities eligible for compensatory time will be allowed to write the examination till 6.20 pm.

The agency said the exercise involves coordination across multiple levels, with 674 city coordinators overseeing operations and 6,669 observers deployed for independent monitoring at examination centres.

Centre superintendents and invigilators have been appointed at all venues. According to the NTA, over 2 lakh personnel, including police and district administration officials, have been mobilised to ensure fair and transparent conduct of the re-examination.
