Police Probe Suspicious Death After Girl Goes Missing Following Argument At Home
The 12-year-old daughter of NCP-SP MLA Rohit Pawar’s personal assistant was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Baramati in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Sunday, police said.
The deceased was the daughter of Pawar’s personal assistant, Ajit Dashavatare, officials said. Police have launched an investigation and are examining all possible angles in the case.
According to sources, the girl had a minor argument with her mother over an issue before leaving her home in anger on Saturday. When she did not return, her family approached the police and lodged a missing complaint.
The girl’s body was found near her residence in the Sainagar area of Rui village in Baramati tehsil on Sunday morning, police said.
After receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A senior police official said the investigation was underway and all possible angles were being examined.
Police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death. The cause of death is also yet to be established and is expected to be clarified after the post-mortem examination.
