MP: Blinkit Delivery Boy Shot Dead After Spat With Assailants At Momo Stall

BHOPAL: A 28-year-old Blinkit delivery boy was shot dead by unidentified assailants following a spat with them at a momo stall in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Friday.
The incident took place in Anand Nagar area under Bahodapur police station in Gwalior city late on Thursday night, police said.
The deceased, identified as Vivek Meena, had entered into a quarrel with two unidentified assailants at a momo stall in Anand Nagar area over some issues.
One of the two unidentified assailants suddenly pulled out a country-made gun and shot him in the head from close range.
Vivek collapsed at the spot.
Police rushed to the area after being informed about the incident and took the victim to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, sources said.
“Unidentified men shot dead Vivike following a dispute”, Bahodapur police station in-charge Alok Parihar said.
Police were investigating the cause of the dispute that triggered the accused to kill the Blinkit delivery boy.
Police were examining the CCTV footage in the locality to identify the accused.
Later, the Blinkit delivery boys staged a violent demonstration at the police station demanding arrest of the accused.
Gwalior district senior superintendent of police Dharamveer Singh rushed to the spot and pacified the irate people by assuring them to arrest the accused very soon.
