New Delhi: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will arrive in India on Wednesday for a three-day visit during which he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and meet business leaders in Bengaluru.

Tusk will be accompanied by Poland's finance and economy minister Andrzej Domanski and a large business delegation, the external affairs ministry said on Monday.

This will be Tusk's second visit to India as Poland's Prime Minister, following his visit in 2010 during an earlier term. He also visited New Delhi in 2017 as president of the European Council for the India-EU Summit.

"Prime Minister Tusk shall hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi on October 22, during which both leaders shall review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, which was elevated to a Strategic Partnership during the visit of PM Modi to Poland in August 2024," the ministry said.

The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and global developments.

Tusk will travel to Bengaluru to engage with business leaders, particularly in the information technology and space sectors.

India-Poland Business Forums are scheduled in New Delhi on October 22 and Bengaluru on October 23.

"The visit will provide the opportunity to further strengthen the India-Poland Strategic Partnership and advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, defence, emerging technologies, renewable energy, education, culture and people-to-people ties," the ministry said.

It added that the visit would also strengthen the India-EU strategic partnership.

The two countries elevated bilateral ties to a strategic partnership during Mr Modi's visit to Poland in August 2024
