New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the people on the second anniversary of the idol consecration at the Ram Temple, describing the occasion as “a divine festival of India’s faith and traditions.”

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla was being celebrated on the sacred land of Ayodhya, calling it a divine festival that reflects the nation’s faith and traditions. The Pran Pratishtha rituals were conducted by the Prime Minister on January 22, 2024, the 12th day (Dwadashi) of the Hindu month of Pausha during the waxing phase of the moon. This year, Pausha Dwadashi falls on December 31.
Extending greetings, Modi said that on this holy occasion, he offered salutations at the feet of Lord Rama on behalf of devotees in India and abroad, and conveyed his best wishes to the people.
He said the five-century-old resolve of Lord Rama’s devotees was fulfilled two years ago with the consecration of the temple. “Today, Ram Lalla is once again enshrined in his magnificent abode, and Ayodhya’s dharma dhwaj is witnessing the Pratishtha Dwadashi of Ram Lalla,” he said.
The Prime Minister also noted that he had the privilege of participating in the installation of the dharma dhwaj atop the Ram Temple last month.
He expressed hope that the inspiration drawn from Lord Rama would strengthen the spirit of service, dedication and compassion among citizens, laying a firm foundation for a prosperous and self-reliant India, concluding with “Jai Siyaram.”
