Man Consumes Poison Inside Puttur Court Complex
Police said that he went to the court complex and consumed an unidentified poisonous substance after entering the premises.

Puttur: A man consumed poison inside the Puttur court complex on Thursday, after learning that his wife was planning to file a complaint against him at the Puttur Women Police Station in connection to a marital dispute.
The man, identified as Ravi, a resident of Kavu Madnoor village near Puttur, is said to have been distressed coming to know about his wife intending to file a police complaint.
Police said that he went to the court complex and consumed an unidentified poisonous substance after entering the premises.
Ravi soon fell ill and was rushed to the government hospital in Puttur, where doctors administered first aid.
He was later shifted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru, where he has been admitted as an inpatient.
Since the incident took place within the court premises, the presiding judge took suo motu cognisance of the matter. A complaint has been registered.
