Leaders Across India Pay Tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Birth Anniversary
From Kolkata to Telangana, political figures honour the freedom fighter’s legacy and call for his contributions to be remembered.
On the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, leaders across India paid homage to the legendary freedom fighter, highlighting his courage, patriotism, and enduring impact on India’s independence movement.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in Kolkata, urged the central government to declassify all remaining documents related to Bose, lamenting that the mystery surrounding his disappearance in 1945 remains unsolved. She said the West Bengal government had already released all state files related to him into the public domain.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described Bose as a true son of the nation and praised his role in forming the Indian National Army (INA), which gave new direction to India’s freedom struggle. He also invoked Bose’s famous call: “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” paying homage on what is officially celebrated as ‘Parakram Diwas’.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also paid tributes, emphasizing Bose’s selfless devotion to the nation and his fearless leadership. Leaders across the country remembered him as an enduring symbol of courage and patriotism.
