The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to submit the online application form for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2026 examination. NTA said that the last date to submit the online application and pay the exam fee is now 31st October.

Eligible candidates can apply online without paying any late fee for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, or PhD through the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who have not completed their registration can now apply until October 31, 2026, at 11:50 PM, without paying any late fee.

The deadline for successful examination fee payment has also been extended to October 31, 2026, at 11:50 PM. The NTA announced the extension to provide additional time to candidates who have not completed their application process.

Candidates should complete their registration and fee payment before the revised deadline to avoid last-minute technical difficulties. Applicants can visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in to complete their registration.
