New Delhi: Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment has moved the Delhi High Court against Hyderabad-based People Media Factory (PMF) and its directors, alleging serious contractual breaches in the production of the upcoming Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab. The company is seeking a refund of its ₹218 crore investment along with 18% annual interest, claiming PMF failed to fulfil multiple obligations under their agreements.

According to the petition, Ivy accused PMF of delaying the film’s completion and release, failing to provide monthly production updates, withholding details of fund utilisation, and not delivering agreed-upon materials. The company also alleged repeated postponements of the theatrical release without justification, triggering termination clauses in their contracts.
According to court documents, Ivy entered into a Film Rights Acquisition Agreement with PMF on January 25, 2023, followed by a Theatrical Rights Acquisition Agreement on March 10, 2023. Under these deals, Ivy acquired worldwide theatrical and non-theatrical rights, secured co-presenter credits, and received contractual guarantees for returns.
The petition names PMF directors Vishwa Prasad Tumbalam Gooty and Subramanya Vivekananda Kuchibhotla, as well as post-production vendors Deccan Dreams Animations LLP, Prasad Xtreme Digital Cinema Network, Qube Cinema Technologies, and UFO Moviez. Ivy has sought a permanent injunction to prevent them from claiming or exploiting any rights to the film without its consent.
Despite the dispute, Ivy has told the court it intends to complete production and release the film itself to safeguard its investment. The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy starring Prabhas in a dual role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, is reportedly being made on a ₹400 crore budget.
Initially slated for release on December 5, 2025, the film is now expected to hit theatres in January 2026, with Sankranthi (January 9) being strongly considered as the release date. However, producers have indicated that the final decision will be taken closer to completion.
