Hyderabad: Chevella Traffic Police conducted a Traffic Awareness Programme at Srinidhi International School, Aziznagar, to create awareness among school children about traffic rules and road safety.
The programme was attended by Traffic SI Narasimha Rao, Moinabad SI Satyanarayana, Srinidhi International School Admin Smt. Kanika Sindhu, Chevella WASI Shivarani, HC Shankar, and around 100 school children.
During the programme, the students were educated about different types of roads, traffic signals, road signs, traffic rules and safe road practices.

The Traffic Police explained the importance of safely boarding and getting down from school buses, crossing roads at zebra crossings, wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers and using seat belts while travelling in cars.

Students were also advised not to play near roads, not to run onto roads and to walk carefully in a single line while using the roadside. They were encouraged to follow traffic rules and take necessary precautions to prevent road accidents.

Accident photographs and videos were shown to the students to help them understand the serious consequences of traffic violations and careless road behaviour.

The children were also encouraged to educate their parents and family members about road safety, especially to request two-wheeler riders to wear proper helmets and follow traffic rules.

The Traffic Police urged the students to become Road Safety Ambassadors and spread the message of safe road practices among their families and friends.

Chevella Traffic Police will continue to conduct such awareness programmes to promote safe and responsible road behaviour among students and the public.
