80 new buses added to TSRTC fleet

Hyderabad: The Telangana RTC has rolled out 80 new buses -- 30 Express and Rajadhani AC services and 20 Lahari seaters, into its fleet.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated the buses at a programme held near Dr BR Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Corporation MD Sajjanar and other higher officials participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Ponnam said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had stressed to focus on employee welfare and protecting the interests of the Corporation.

He also said that the CCS dues would be released soon.

Sajjanar said that an additional 1,000 buses would be added to the fleet in the near future. Of these, 500 would ply in Hyderabad while the remaining would be allocated to the districts.
