HYDERABAD: After a mostly dry spell for about two weeks, heavy rains are on the way for the state from the start of September.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation over the east-central Bay of Bengal could bring light to moderate rains and thundershowers in the next three days.

A yellow warning has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning at many places across the state.

The weather enthusiast ‘Telangana Weatherman’ also posted on X (formerly Twitter) a forecast predicting a positive sign for rains with lightning, rains and thunderstorms from September 2, which would intensify in the week ahead.

The city will have low-level winds at a speed of around 6-10 kmph, hazy mornings and maximum temperature of 33ºC-35ºC and night temperature of 24ºC-26ºC.
